What We Study

To resolve an inherent biological heterogeneity across individuals and within a disease, it is crucial to identify robust biomarkers that can accurately represent molecular status of the body for disease diagnostics. We develop microfluidic platforms and molecular tools that enable biomarker discovery and detection through high throughput, ultra-high sensitive, and multiplexed profiling of various biomarkers (e.g. nucleic acids/proteins in cells, extracellular vesicles).

Our vision is to transform the field of medicine by enabling early detection and ultimate treatment of many life-threatening diseases such as cancer and neurological diseases.

We are a team of scientists with broad expertise in engineering, medicine, and biology. We welcome individuals with diverse backgrounds and look forward to creating an intellectually inspiring and exciting environment together as a team. We are currently actively hiring postdocs, graduate students (PhD and Master’s), and undergraduate students.
